Signs. Funny, poignant, symbolic, incorrect, informative, foreshadowing…there are so many signs in the world.

-The Daily Post

I have shot this image maybe a million times with probably every camera I own from my iPhone to my antique Kodak Brownie Hawkeye.  On cloudy days and sunny days, evening hours and morning hours.  Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall.  And I don’t even know why it speaks to me and begs me to take it’s picture but I do … over and over and over again.  I love the significance and the simplicity of it all at the same time.  The location is sentimental to me in a bittersweet kind of way but it’s  not really anything worthy of all this attention.  I don’t think.  Still, it does say much with absolutely no words whatsoever.  I took this particular shot last weekend and uploaded it at that time and then took it down because it didn’t feel right.  It’s like the troubled child.  Then though quite by a lovely coincidence, the Weekly Photo Challenge arrived in my email last evening, and much to my delight, it suddenly became very apropos and my troubled child found her place.  I love that this song is playing on my Spotify as I write this too.  Cosmic synchronicity and all that.

Peace.

Can I Stay

Can I stay here with you till the morning
I am so far from home and I feel a little stoned
so can I stay here with you till the morning?
There’s nothing I want more than to wake up on your floor
So lay with me in your thinnest dress
fill my heart with each caress
between your blissful kisses, whisper
darling, is this love?
